Born of a need, matured in service, and dedicated to the
furtherance of Christ’s kingdom on earth, Theodore Street
Lutheran came into being as the outgrowth of prayers and dreams
of Rev. Andrew Hegre and 23 people who met at Chaney School in
1947 for the purpose of organizing a mission congregation. The
program developed rapidly with the dedication of the first building
in 1948. By 1952 the congregation was able to declare itself self-
supporting, and by 1957 it was apparent a larger facility was
necessary, so a new sanctuary was built and dedicated in 1959.

As we have grown in spirit of faith, we acknowledge our gratitude
to many saints who have served our Lord in the 50+ years of our
history. Above all others, it is to God we are most grateful and to
Him be all praise, glory, and honor.
